I have been a freelance photographer since 1989. Prior to that, I received
my Masters in Public Health and managed HIV research projects in Massachusetts.
I spent much of 1991 photographing war zones in Israel and the former
Yugoslavia. Since that time, my work has appeared in corporate annual
reports, newspapers, magazines, books, movies, on web sites and Compact
Disks. It also graces the walls of homes, apartments and offices from
Japan to Holland and many a place in-between.
I am fortunate to have been able to travel extensively for over 15 years
building a document of performance imagery. I have photographed the New
Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the Newport Jazz Festival, the Falcon
Ridge Folk Festival, the Greyfox Bluegrass Festival and many others. My
images have been exhibited and published locally, nationally and internationally.
The Cisco Systems (Ottawa) Blues Fest has recently published a limited
edition 2005 calendar showcasing a different piece of my work for each
month.
I presently make my home in New Orleans, Louisiana with my Australian
wife Shelley and our child to be born in February 2005. The next time
you see me making imagery in on some stage of other, it may be with a
little bambino on my back and hopefully later, caring some of my gear!
